Tales have been told of the lost islands of Kaillera, a land of
knowledge and wealth that had long sunk beneath the sea. Ancient stories tell
that immigrants of Kaillera settled at the point of Kantana long ago, spawning
a new township and along with it, conflict with the natives of Tiki. After 9
years of war the Kaillerians were banished back to their homeland. But the
Kaillera elders would not take them back, and treated them as outcasts. They
were forced to live on the outcropping Island of Daggorah, and forbidden to set
foot on the mainland again. They were hereby known as Daggoriah, and were
looked upon with shame and disgrace. The villagers on Kaillera Prime, its west
coast of Chenir, and east coast of Ranynia, were united in agreement. But the
Daggoriah were not so easily discouraged. They had survived conflict before,
and this time they vowed to prevail.
Years past, but construction of a great war machine, one with the
power to move the earth itself, was rumored to be underway. Little is known
about the fate of the Kaillerians or the Daggoriah after this point, however it
is believed that the vanishing of the island was brought about by the great
onslaught that occurred. The Daggoriah, lead by their high priests known as
Soloshim, allegedly brought upon a the islands a curse so great that it caused
the demise of all those living there... but, like many tales, truth slowly
faded, becoming the stuff of myth and legends.
But lately, rumors have been spreading that the islands have resurfaced,
brought back by some unknown magic or natural event. The legends of old have
always lingered in the minds of the locals, like a long forgotten memory
waiting to be aroused. Now, with promise of great treasure and glory, treasure
hunting parties have begun to form.
The fate of the islands has yet to be determined, as a new chapter in
its history is about to begin.
